Capturing:
First of all we will gather data about these questions:
Configuration of currently running LiveState Systems?
How many packages need to be migrated?
How does the network environment look alike?
Is MULTICAST possible / desired?
Is the new server already in place?
Design:
Based on the answers gathered in step 1 „Capturing“, a design will be developed addressing the following items:
1. MS SQL Server Configuration
2. Altiris Notifcation Server
Installation:
During installation the items decided during phase 2 „Design“ will be realized. Installations will be performed in this sequence:
1. Installation and configuration of servers (IIS / .NET Framework 1.1)
2. Installation and configuration of Microsoft SQL Servers
3. Installation Altiris Notification Server
4. Installation Altiris Deployment Server

This step covers joint decisions about the basics of packages migration as well as possible solutions for those packages not functioning after migration.
We will use our migration tool for this as well as the superior expertise and experience Raynet has on board regarding LiveState and Altiris CMS.
A part of the produced packages will be analysed and tested. In case errors will occur we will offer a variety of solutions to you including details of those solutions and a detailed work-through of some packages.
Tests:
During the complete installation and migration process we will constantly run test installations. At the end we will install one to three test clients including the standard software imported so far, which can be transformed packages as well as packages adopted to Altiris CMS.
Documentation:
At the end of the migration process you will receive a documentation containing:
